After weeks of oppressive humidity and high temperatures we have been blessed with two days of cloud cover, low temperatures 20-25 C and the gentlest rain ever...it is just hanging in droplets off the trees, shrubs and roses... everything is so green...
sometimes where you live can emerge out of its ordinariness (is that a word?) and take on a gossamar of such beauty it makes your heart feel warm physically...
today is like that.
If we only experience this occasionally life is well worth it. Days like this remind me of somethng that I have forgotten, and then its back again...not sure what it is... amybe a feeling of the sacredness in life, or the connection, or just a reminder of another time which is dear to me.
I'm not on an island in this I know...its something common to humanity... we have much more in common than those things we are encouraged to believe divide us I think.

You know MC, when I take the girls for their walks in the woods...it takes me back to when I was a little girl and I played out in the forests of Virginia. It was wonderful. It has come back to me all these years later. The trees have once again began to share their secrets with me. It is a wonderful peaceful feeling that washes over one.
And in your case keeps you cool right now. :)
Glad to hear that your temp has moderate somewhat and you have a little rain. I talking to my sister on New Year's day (for her the 2nd) and she live in Canberra. Apparently the temp was meant to hit 100f/40c that day and even that early in the morning she could smell a bush fire.
We are under similar warnings here in this part of Texas. We have been experiencing record highs in the mid 80's and this is the middle of the winter. Generally Jan is our coldest month and then it starts to warm up in Feb.
Hope you have a good 2006 and enjoy reading your blog.
I cry at the lovely moon sometimes and breezes remind me I'm alive - so there, I've admitted it. If I admitted a few other things it make not make crying at the moon seem so strange... HA... etc.
MC - I see you figured out how to add links! Yay!!! And thank you for adding me! :) As for your temps, I'm in the same neck of the woods as CS and it's unseasonably warm here - at least 41F!
