Not so long ago I went with my eldest to Hanging Rock - it's an amazing place and had never been there till a year ago  - has a special spot in our family's heart as way back in the late 1990's we did our own version and called it "Don Rock". Don got to play little fat Eadie and Tom the Coachman - I was Mrs Applecart, Melissa Mme de Poitiers and Alison was of course Miranda - as you can see easily it wasn't rehearsed at all but we all knew the story... good times... has been a pretty rough patch this year - this daughter and I were defrauded of a lot of money we couldn't afford by a known criminal. etc etc - so things like this in simpler times feel pretty good to remember.
Here's the you tube of Don Rock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb9dudfvuZg

Forty six years ago on 17th June Dad was hit and killed by a wealthy drunk driver.

He was never charged. Money talks. But every year since then I have lit a candle for my dad.

He is remembered and loved still. He was a good father and we were lucky to have him.

.we still have him in our hearts. He left school age 12 during the depression..

He went to work then helped look after his family. He never stop working till the day he died

Always he was looking after other people but even so he laughed easily, told jokes and was

a good firm but gentle father RIP my Dad.

Something amazing happened today which I can't talk about here right now but it happened

on my dad's anniversary and I'll always remember that.

About ten years ago i got the Coronial records - it was

shocking miscarriage of justice. The driver a

businessman from Glen Innes had been on a pub crawl

down the highway but this was never mentioned even

though the Constable queried him - but as fate/ karma

had it many years ago I met a man who was

researching family history - found out we were third

cousins...turned out

he lived next door to this drunk driver. Turned out my

cousin and his wife helped this drunk driver's wife keep

her house as her husband was planning on moving a

mistress in and chucking out his wife and family...he

died a sad old man nobody cared about...whereas Dad

died and is remembered with love...could not believe

the coincidence that a close rello lived next door all

those years and finally we met.

Today and right now it's only hours before my husband was killed by medical bastardry...the final insult and crime was the local doctor taking away the ventilator when Don wanted a bit more time - just to be with us. That mongrel prick and a turd no doubt thinks he is a good doctor - but he is a criminal as far as our family is concerned. So now as the beautiful autumnal day winds down. the soft sun takes the light - as it did on the day Don was killed - The candle is lit ;
the photos near...and I remember our life together; our children; the hard and good times; the fun and wickedness - the deep compassion he had for us all...I will go on living the years he was denied... how could I not. That would be feeding the mongrels who killed him. I will look towards the light; remember the love and fight when i can for justice if not for us then for others. Rest in Peace my lovely man. 4/7/1950 - 17/7/2007. On my birthday in 2007 (February) he got the nurse - I think it was Skye - unsure - to put his present to me, over his head so he could give it to me - he couldn't have wrapped anything so beautifully as the way this was given to me. it's a gold chain with two hearts...and I wear it all the time... too many men lose the romance with time - not this one and I was so lucky to have had what so many do not. Thank you so very much Don.

Some lovely photos of my old place at Craggy Island. The new people are wonderful and love the place as much as we did - the kids have horses and dogs and room to run - a good place for kids and family and am pleased for them.

"Dirty Waters, Dangerous Fish"

Make sure you know exactly where your seafood comes from... buy local if able.
An Easter tradition in our little family is to give each other a pair of flannelette Pj's for the approaching winter - makes sense  - we might get a little bit of chocolate but not much - two are gluten and dairy intolerant - lucky found a bit for them that was okay at the local health food store. A bit late here but happy Easter to all.

Just IMAGINE... Stop what your doing right now and JUST IMAGINE ....

I had tears listening to this young man. I am just 60 and to hear this man tell it as I have felt all my life makes my heart swell. Listen to him and IMAGINE the world we could have so easily bar for our "leaders - bankers media etc" as he says "Do the right thing because it's the right thing to do" it's how I have tried to live and it works...
