I hate to do this but just had to show what the view is from my youngest sister's home on the South Island of new Zealand. This is their front verandah, and in the background is Lake Manapouri. This area was settled mainly by your Scots... a hardy bunch immune to cold, snow, and privation. But this is the Aussie Irish invasion to those rugged shores. Looks like a tough life I reckon.
