Don't feel at all like thinking right now but am in the house... Don's asleep... I could clean toilets, get down cobwebs whatever...feel like posting... hates housework... some really sweet photos on my mum dtaken around 1930-1933
such a dear little girl all so full of smiles and wicked humor...
she raised the five of us sisters with the same humour and wickedness and honour as she had as a child. Seems strange to regard and reflect on these wonderful photos of Mum taken so long ago, way up in the bush - east of Aberdeen (NSW) and to know to well the outcome of her life.
But here we are all five of her daughers...56 down to 43...all well all with kids of our own and most of us not too different from her...
life was at times terrible for this child...dad's death, her own illnesses and yes our dispresal into the wwinds of the world...
but I feel okay knowing that her last years were spent near me and that we wrote AND TALKED OUR HEADS OFF... she was a spexial mum, a special child and still tides high in my memory.

All of the pics are wonderful...I have tons of my mother throughout the years and they are such a treasure now. After she passed I wished for just one more talk to tell her I loved her...I scoured the old phone tapes I had just to hear her voice but no luck. Glad Don is home with his favorite "nurse" I bet. Again, can't say it enough, you are a wonder.

Those memories are ones worthy of blogging, it tells us what is special and dear to you. I too am blessed that I couls spend my nan's last years with her living with us. My boys got to know her and I am blessed with that. My daughter Sarah has my nan's name as her middle name, Teresa...Teresa with out the H nan always said, lol. Gotta love it.
I just wish we could bottle scent, because my nan's scent is what I miss, her sweet mandarine scent :(
