This photo taken seconds after Peter Spencer was lifted to the ground on Day 52 of his hunger strike on Jan 14th is just beautiful. He had been told that basically this was the last day he could stay up there before there was too much damage for him to recover. He lost 43 kgs, and has inspired farmers and communities across Australia who have seen draconian laws make it impossible for them to hold onto their land and way of life.
