I have lived here 52 years. I have had one bee sting...have no idea what a midge is...is it like a sandfly...I have onely once been bitten by sandflies...we see snakes often in summer, never been bitten. Nope to funnel webs, white tail spiders, and red backs...
My eldest sister visiting NZ right now has become allergic to the bites of them down there so much so that she totally covers up...
a pretty picture but nah...the whole two Islands sit on a sea of mud... give me bedrock, open skies and the odd mozzie...
