In Dreams.
When I was down in Melbourne at my daughter's place, she played a song she had been singing for me. Don always loved this song. She got about two words in and I burst into tears, but asked to hear it all...tears are okay I know this now. So I asked her to send tit to me. between us we put it together with a selection of photos...I had no idea how hard it was to synchronise the photos with the music... She said its a tribute...but having over 50 photo albums it was hard choosing.
I always get emotional when I listen to my daughter sing, no matter what she sings but this for me was just beautiful. It has to be played in "High Quality" (right hand side under the pictures) because in uploading the photo quality deteriorated...
Unfortunately, I noticed that as some of the photos come up somehow there are dark spots on some of them...we didn't bash each other up okay... we might have felt like it once or twice, and in fact little Alice as she was called did thump Melissa on the nose, when the straw finally broke, but she had to wait till Melissa was sitting down to reach...

I'm all over goosebumpy!! That was beautiful!
Beautiful and a wonderful tribute to everyone in your family.
very, very beautiful!! what a wonderful and talented family.
That was beautiful!
That was amazing Therese.
What a lovely voice!
Don't you just love the way memories can be preserved with home technology.
Foxymoron...she really is sweet in a strong way...she has a will of iron like a lot of little people. needed perhaps...
Janene, still makes me go goosebumpyhotos were old spotty ones but I only put in those which has special meaning to us...Both our mothers and Don's sister are in there because of what they meant to Don the girls and I... and my sisters...well you can see he loved women, the company of women, and being made the centre of them...nice
Jacqui thank you...the tribute for me is to Don because of how he was around us...how he grew with the girls and the heart of him...
caroline...no more talented than a lot of quietly living families. But thanks.
Mom, thank you...it was beautiful I think so too.
Sling, tis true...the main thing is to back up or you can lose the lot. I just put important stuff on a disc and send the kids a copy...in case of fires... Alison has some songs of her own and ther is one in particular I love...she just belts it out its amazing... i wish I could help her more getting hers recorded...because needs must I can see her having to earn a living doing other things and I would give my eye teeth to have he be able to record and copyright her stuff...must take some more lottery tickets. Being sick for so long and now greatly improved has knocked her energy levels around and you have to have that for entertaining ...as yuo'd know.
Wait, that's your daughter singing in the video?? Holy crap, that's awesome! What a voice!
Quite the montage, too. The one of Don with the wig made me laugh out loud.
Sara...she just loves to sing...no matter will never be famous..just for the love of it
re the wig... I have so many home videos with Don and wigs etc he was a classic. Knew no bounds...when You tube alows more than 10mins I will upload Don's stuf...you would be amazed ay what he did...miss him so very much s

Best wishes Therese Mackay

You've suffered so much Therese, but you're still so blessed with your girls, your amazing writing and your memories.

Oh dear... got a little teary... That was beautiful.. And you have made me realise how badly i need to get my camera out more to capture many more pictures of my children & Mark than I do...
Plenty of my precious bike.. that can bloody well be replaced... but my family cant! You have soooooo many beautiful pics of your family.. and they all make me smile.. I too love the wig one!
Linda J - many people have suffered much more than I have or most likely ever will......not so brave ...would have avoinded it all if that was possible...
Random Thinker... sorry...made myself cry many times over as well

What happened to the polititian's wife post that I read on bloglines and tried to come and comment on??
What a bitch.
Just believe in Karma my dear, that will definitely bite her in the bum one day. Maybe not even in this lifetime but when she comes back as a Cane Toad.
Oh dear, you are always making me review my life. Every post, I swear it's true!!
What great photos and a great slice of the great life you have had with your darling husband and how lovely your daughters have been brought up. Alison has a charming voice and well, it was just heart warming, esp love how it finished with the sunsets.
Lots of love.xx
I cried too.
Beautiful.
Yeah Therese, I wonder if you know how inspiring you are? You make me think, and rethink. So glad I am getting to know you.
Therese, could I get your email address? I've searched your blog and there is no email contact (like mine). I'm putting myself on a limb here and will give you my email addy. If it's okay you can email me there and I'll give you our server based address.

Jules, I was advised by a close friend who has some legal knowledge...to remove it as the word "the duke" in it identifies the people...Her husband is very vindictive and has more than one defamation thingie under huis belt...I just did not need that grief at this time...needs must.
Jues, those sunsets were taken the night after Don died...I had never seen anything as dramatic from my front door...ali went outside to look and melissa took the photoa... it was almost menacing but we chose to see it as a postiive.
CM as long as they were happy sad tears... thats okay.
Foxy moron...email will be sant soon.
Such a gorgeous voice! I love every single image..and I can see the love min everyone's eyes for each other. I love the pic of the girls laying on the bed next to Don. It would seem they would do this alot, chatting for hours together..just lovely :)
cazzie..you are so right...we would all pile into our bed when the girls came home and talk, and be silly,, it was wonderful. Wonderful
I'm listening to this every day.
R. H. its addictive for me because i know the people and the girl who sings... won't do you any harm to listen...
