When I first met Don in September 1972...we went home (to his place...soon to be mine) hussey that I was...and the first music he played for me was Uriah Heep. Late that evening so long ago a song of theirs came on and tears rolled down his cheeks... I knew what sort of man he was from that and three weeks later we moved in together... never to part... it was this

this song makes me cry but makes me also recall those times and what sort of person...even as young as we were..that he was and would become.

I hadn't heard that before - thank you for sharing a new hauntingly-beautiful song for me. "Come Away, Melinda"

I'm in the middle of reading "the Dairy of Anne Frank", so yeah... it's a highly-topical song for me at the moment!

Thank you!

Sling, I don't know why but for some reason the Rodger Whitakker song you posted, reminded me of the Uriah Heep one which I'd not thought about for some time...don't know why
Team Gherkin - there was some amazing music, which apart from those of us growing older qiuickly and the U Tube etc has been largely forgotten as is the fate of most of the stuff we think so important at the time. Glad you like it.
Sara Hussy is a great word always makes me smile inside.
Rosemary, not you too...what sort of nursing homes are they going to put our generation into do you reckon? I have told the girls if I get troublesome to do what they used to do and tie me to the chair in the corner of the kitchen so at least i can see whats happening...
