Merry Christmas from Craggy Island Australia!

About to pick up 2kgs of South West Rocks Prawns!

Will catch up after the big day... hoping for a cool day and not blistering heat... Melissa arrives this evening and Alison has been here since Friday... the dog hasn't stopped panting and wagging his old tail since she arrived...

Best wishes to you all and I hope all of you have a really happy day with your people and friends (and pets), have enough to eat, enough to drink and get a lot of love from those around you...

Prawns!
I saw newsfilm tonight of a cop directing the traffic at the Sydney Prawn Pickup - couldn't believe it. Soooo Sydney.
Last Christmas Day I had SNOW on Mt.Dandenong, and where I am right now is freezing.

Will be thinking of you all having a Happy Day - much love, and I will raise a glass to our Absent Friend X X X

Thank you very much. There will be a few glasses raised here for him. Melissa (eldest) arrived last evening and we figured we may not be able to drive out to the cemetery on Christmas day after having those few glasses so went after she arrived. You know, there was a whole community of people doing the same thing...sort of including a loved one or missing friend in the celebrations... we all know the person isn't there but its such a human thing to do. The girls and I left Don a Santy hat (he always wore one) a glass of milk and a piece of fruit cake...which we always left out even as the girls hit their 20's... so the birds will get a treat on us... I was pleased at the demeanour of people out there...never seen so many. They acknowledge each other but are not intrusive ...each with their own thoughts. Made me think about dignity and all that unfashionable stuff. Have a happy day today and eat drink and be merry.

Sling, if you all keep drinking to Don he'll be looking for that last bottle of port he left here...(its gone)

Sara, bad luck ...blogger had a queer sense of humour when it decides to swallow our words...where do they go do you reckon? Happy New year.
