From bondage to spiritual faith;
from spiritual faith to great courage;
from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance;
from abundance to selfishness;
from selfishness to complacency;
from complaceny to apathy;
from apathy to dependence;
from dependency back again into bondage.

so the US is at about the apathy or dependance stage at the moment in my view, so not long to its down fall into bondage now.

Trouble is on that list, I really don't see which is the emerging big civilisation, China is definitely not spiritual, nor is India. None of the countries at the moment are showing great courage or the middle wouldn't be happening and many are very far from liberty.

Kinda of depressing really, maybe the religious right are correct, this is the end of the world. Nah, don't believe that at all!

What a sad bunch we humans are, round and round we go never learning from our mistakes all one big repetition.

Mind you as usual it takes a Scotsman to come up with such a profound statement as he did. :-)
