yet another treasure...

This also came from that horrible old rat and ant infested box...

Isn't it lovely?

All I know about her (the bride) is that she was a very close relation of my mother's mother's people. They were Flanagan, Tripp, Hopper ... mainly from Tipperary Ireland.. but its likely she was born in Australia as ours came out during the Famine Years about 1850...

I have other photos of this beautiful woman... as a teenager, and later... don't really know who she is and what became of her... hope it was good...she has such a lovely face

What a beautiful woman!!

I love old photos like that, they just give you such a view into what life was like then, so proper!!

Loved the wedding photos, loved the cake, your daughter's are both stunners and I am glad you didn't kill the hairdresser!! LOL!!

Hope all is going well with you. I am reading Bill Bryson's "Downunder" at the moment and really enjoying his slant on the history of Australia.

You've inspired me MC! I have a number of old old photos too - I should post them also. But I am ashamed to say that although I should know the names in all of them (I was taught, after all) I never wrote them down so I've forgotten a good many of them. Nonetheless - this is truly inspiring!
